on our little easter egg hunt

I can't believe Easter is here already. And I can't believe we're almost in May. How the time is flying by so quickly.

Well, this long weekend we didn't have anything on, nothing planned. It was our first Easter in our new home - perfect excuse to not go anywhere! 

We invited our family over to share an Easter lunch with us. Once that was over, we then decided to take our dogs for a walk in the bush - I needed to walk off all those Easter eggs I'd consumed throughout the day. 

It was the perfect way to end the day. It was just us, in amongst this beautiful setting. We were surrounded by black tree trunks and flowing green leaves - a bush fire had passed through this area only two years ago and it was remarkable to see how everything grows and re-builds itself.

On our walk, Ben and I turned to each other and smiled. We stood there with our dogs, in complete silence, breathing in the fresh air from the cool trees. It was lovely.
