Mahlee + Chris' wedding day brought back a lot of happy memories for me. They got married at the same place I got married (Anderson Inlet, Inverloch), and the day was much the same. The sun was shining, the sky was as blue as it can be & a warm breeze blew in straight off the ocean.
When Mahlee walked through the same walkway of trees as I did, goosebumps took over my whole body. I was so excited for Mahlee to see Chris. He had been patiently waiting for her arrival.
You could tell Mahlee & Chris had formed a very strong bond over their 10 years together. Choosing to marry on their 10 year anniversary, the two were so relaxed as they giggled their way through the ceremony. It was beautiful to see how close their families & friends were too - another reminder of my day. Ben & I had been together for almost 10 years when we got married. When you're with someone for a long time they become not only your partner, but your best friend. Your families & friends grow closer together & life without them is something you just don't know.
Once the formalities were done, we wandered along the beach for photos and then Mahlee + Chris headed back to Chris' parents' property for a marquee style reception.
I fell in love with Mahlee + Chris' puppy Viss and had so much fun being apart their day. It's one I certainly won't forget!
