as far as the eye can see

We were out on the road yesterday. While the weather wasn't too kind to us, we managed to find that tiny bit of blue sky. You know that one, you've seen it before. It slowly crawls out from behind the dark clouds and says hello.

It was perfect timing. We wanted to visit the Inverloch beach and the rain just stopped, like that.

As I walked over the sand dunes, I could smell the fresh ocean air. It flew past me and as I caught it, I smiled. My eyes gazed into the surf and it was calm. The waves slowly licked the shore and dark, gloomy clouds hovered above. I could only look as far as my eyes could see...

It was a peaceful moment. It was lovely.

giggles & laughter

We met Olivia, Chris and their two little boys, Oscar and William on a lovely autumn morning.

William seemed to not have any worries about these two strangers who had just entered his house. He was full of smiles and happy chuckles from the moment we met him... On the other hand, Oscar was definitely a little more reserved and hesitant about getting his photo taken.

Olivia mentioned to me that they really wanted natural style photos because Oscar can be a little shy in front of the camera -"If you can get one photo of Oscar smiling I'll be more than happy". I assured her we'd get plenty!

We chatted for a while and then Oscar introduced me to his friends. As Oscar played with his trains, I sneakily took some photos of him and managed to get a few smiles.

We then headed outside. By this stage, both Oscar and William had completely warmed to both Ben and I. They didn't seem to be bothered by us at all.

We encouraged this beautiful little family to just be themselves - best way to get the best photos I think.

so cute... just want to squeeze him with cuddles!

William thinks it's quite funny to pull Oscar's hair....

I think Oscar thinks it's pretty funny too.

Oscar has the most amazing smile - when he is happy, his whole face just lights up.

by this stage, I think William may have had enough...

Oh, one more smile then!
