Ingrid & Ed | a different beginning

Ingrid and Ed are friends of ours... So, when they asked us to capture their wedding I was thrilled! I knew from the first moment Ingrid emailed me that her wedding would be a little different. I remember one of the first lines I read was "we're not going to have a traditional wedding as such, I don't even know if I'll wear a wedding dress!".... I was excited !!

Ingrid and Ed chose to get married in their favourite region of Northern Victoria. It's somewhere close to Ingrid - she has memories, from when she was a child, visiting the different places with her family. They knew they wanted to share this unique part of the world with their closest family and friends. Their ceremony was held at Gapsted Winery, followed by an intimate reception at the rustic King River Cafe.

Well, the big day began a little differently. Ingrid and Ed wanted to get ready together. They had helped each other pick one anothers outfits and Ingrid didn't want a nervous groom waiting for her at the alter! Once the two were ready, we were joined by Ed's sister and her partner who helped with the last minute things. It was then we set off for some location photos.

Ingrid and Ed's love began with a very close friendship. They lived together as housemates before they knew they loved eachother. And, they'll both tell you a slightly different story about who made the first move!

It's obvious to see that family means so much to these two. There were quite a few emotions felt during the speeches and I remember Ingrid's father, John, telling the couple to just be happy because they're so lucky to have what they have. And, it's so true!
