Rachael & Matt | Never letting go

Undoubtedly, it was Rachael in her silky, smooth Mariana Hardwick gown that stood out on the day. She was absolutely stunning! Her hair was pinned back - a suitable do for the gusty weather conditions & her face just lit up every time she smiled. You could tell she was happy, excited & a little nervous . . .

Matt on the other hand was super cool. He'd had a relaxing night with the boys & was just settling into a cold beer when we arrived. Even at the ceremony he didn't appear to be nervous. Rachael was running a little late, but it didn't worry him - he knew she would come.

When I first met Rachael, I remember her telling me she wasn't like other brides and that their wedding wasn't going to be a typical, traditional wedding. She even gave permission to her bridesmaids to make their own outfits - she only picked the fabric and colour she liked and left the rest up to them. This is what I loved most about Rachael - she reminded me of myself.

The ceremony was held at Rotary Park in Inverloch. The backdrop was a very rough sea and blue sky. Rachael arrived in her Dad's former GT, which now belongs to a close family friend. This car is still so important to Rachael & her family - she always knew she had to arrive in the car she'd had so many childhood memories in. As Rachael stepped out of the car once we arrived at our final location for photos, she cheekily said "I'm so happy we had the GT, it's made my day!". Matt, off in the distance, heard & replied "Oh, what about me!?". Rachael was quick to say that it wasn't just the GT that made her day and we all had a little giggle...

Once we arrived at their reception, it was time to use a different form of transport. Rachael & Matt surprised their guests and rocked up in a golf buggy - it was ideal, perfect in fact. The night was held under the stars at the Melaleuca Links golf course in Inverloch.

During the speeches there were plenty of laughs & a few tears. When Matt spoke you could tell that their 6 and half years of being together had really brought the two and their families very close. The newly wedded couple then had their first dance to Never Let You Go, by Evermore and then they all danced well into the night . . .

then we arrived at Rachael's house...

Rachael's mum helped her get ready

in front of the beloved GT.. and there's that wind!

good day for kite surfing!!

walking in, Rachael only had eyes for one person

we braved the windy conditions and wandered onto the beach for a few quick shots!!

we found this shelter made out of driftwood.. a passer by named it the bride and groom's new place! Ha, we thought it was perfect for photos...

this is probably the moment Matt's beer (which was steadily placed on the ground) spilt onto Rach's dress... But she didn't care too much, she was too happy to worry about that!

awesome idea!

it was a great surprise to all of their guests

a very funny speech from the best man!
